To utilize the DNASTAR Cloud Data Drive, you must have Internet access and an active license for Assemblies on the Cloud, NovaFold, or the DNASTAR Cloud Desktop. To purchase these items, please request an online quote.
There are two licensing options for the DNASTAR Cloud:
•DNASTAR provides you with credentials for Assemblies on the Cloud, DNASTAR Cloud Desktop, and/or NovaFold. These are accessed through your DNASTAR account.
•You set up an account with Amazon Web Services (AWS)and create an Access Key for the DNASTAR Cloud Desktop or NovaFold. To sign up for AWS, follow the instructions on this page: https://aws.amazon.com/premiumsupport/knowledge-center/create-and-activate-aws-account/.
You may need to enter these credentials the first time you attempt to access the DNASTAR Cloud Data Drive.
Note: During the time that your DNASTAR Cloud license is in effect, we recommend that you not change the access key. For more information about managing access keys, please refer to this AWS page: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/general/latest/gr/managing-aws-access-keys.html.
