Selected results may be copied to the clipboard from the BLAST or text search results window.
To copy detailed information:
1) From the text search results window, or from the upper pane of the BLAST search results window, click, Ctrl/Cmd+click or Shift+click to select rows of search results that you wish to save.
2) Choose Edit > Copy to move results to the clipboard. At a minimum, copied results will include an identifier and description for each selected result.
3) Paste into a spreadsheet or text document.
To copy exact text sequence only:
1) In the bottom pane of the BLAST search results window, select the desired text by dragging your mouse.
2) Choose Edit > Copy to move the selected text to the clipboard.
3) Paste into a spreadsheet or text document.
Note: When pasting data into a word processing application, choose a mono-spaced font such as Courier so that the alignments display correctly.
