Lasergene 17.4.2 Release Notes

Lasergene 17.4.2 is now available to download. This minor release provides enhancements for variant analysis in MegAlign Pro, as well as a bug fix addressing an issue with merging unaligned sequences.

Enhancements and updates for multiple sequence alignments include:

• Impacts of a variant on protein properties are now included in the Variants Table. New columns show the change between values for biophysical properties including charge, hydropathy, instability,  isoelectric point, and aliphatic index.
• Inclusion of residue position in the Codons column of Variants Table.
• Improved sorting performance in the Variants Table.
• A fix for an issue merging unaligned sequences into an existing alignment.
