SeqBuilder Pro gives a “basic string” error on Mac computers set to non-English languages

Version Affected: Lasergene 18.0.0 & 18.0.1

Version Fixed: Lasergene 18.0.2

Issue: On Mac computers set to a non-English language, attempts to open a file within SeqBuilder Pro can result in an error message: “Error occurred opening file. An error occurred while opening a file: basic_string.”

Resolution: This issue was fixed in Lasergene 18.0.2, released December 16, 2024. To resolve this issue, update to the latest version of Lasergene by going to the My Licenses page of our website. If you need assistance, please contact us at 866-511-5090 or [email protected].
