When you filter a multi-sample Variants view, or use the Variants > Create a Set of Variants > With Filter command to create a filtered set of variants, a multi-screened wizard opens. In the former case, the wizard has five screens and is called the “Filter Variants” wizard. In the latter case, the wizard has one additional screen and is called the “Create Variant Set” wizard. The end product of both versions of the wizard is the creation of a filtered multi-sample Variants view.
You can set filters in just one or in several of the screens, but you only have to visit screens of interest OR screens that require your input. Screens that require your input will have a next to their names. Once you navigate to that screen, another indicates where your input is needed.
Each screen is described in a separate topic.
- Filter by Experiment
- Filter by Type
- Filter by Impact
- Filter by Alignment
- Filter by Database
- Customize the Set Name and Notes (only when a variant set is being filtered)
Navigate between screens by clicking the name of a screen on the left.
Use the buttons at the bottom of the screen to apply changes to the Variants view and/or close the wizard.
- Use Apply to apply the current wizard selections to the Variants view, while keeping the wizard open. Note: Once you press Apply, the button becomes temporarily disabled. When you make further changes to the filter, the button is once again enabled.
- Use OK to apply the current wizard selections to the Variants view and to close the wizard.
- Use Cancel to close the wizard without applying changes to the Variants view.
