(Feature) Style section

The Style section is located in the Features panel and provides options for customizing the look of features in the Analysis view.

Opening the Style section:

Do either of the following:

• Click the expand bar entitled “Features”
• Use View > Style > Style

The Style sectionis only enabled when all of the following are true: 1) a document is open in the Protean 3D application window, 2) a feature is selected, 3) and the selected feature is not a strand, helix or PDB-derived feature. If the section is disabled, try selecting a different type of feature. Alternatively, you can create a new feature by selecting a portion of the sequence and choosing Features > New Feature.

Using the Style section:

• The current color used for the feature is shown in the Color box. To choose a different color, click on the box and make a new selection using the color chooser for your operating system.

• To change the shape for a region feature, first select an individual region feature in the Features panel, then make a selection from the Shape drop-down menu. When a site feature is selected, this menu is disabled.
  
  

• To change the shape for a site feature, first select an individual site feature in the Features panel, then make a selection from the Pin drop-down menu. When a region feature is selected, this menu is disabled.
