Once you have pressed the Run button in the Protein Design wizard, you can use the Jobs panel to monitor progress, stop the run, or open results.
After the variant has been created, the following views and panels can be used for analysis:
- The Protein Design reports, Variants, Hot Spot Scan – These two reports show results for the variants and hot spot scan workflows. Once the report is open, you can open a specific variant structure by double-clicking its row in the report table.
- Structure view – By default, variant amino acids are displayed with side chains. For non-mutants, only the backbone is shown. To easily visualize the environment around the variant, select neighboring residues and change their colors.
- Details panel – Shows tabular results, including the change in energy score and prediction of the effect (stabilizing, destabilizing, no effect).
- Molecules section – Shows the structure and chain. The variant name is formed using standard 1-letter, 3-letter or HGVS nomenclature, as specified in the Substitutes screen.
