Create Ratios Against Baseline

The Create Ratios Against Baseline transformation allows you to change all of the values in your project into ratios relative to a specified baseline experiment. The baseline experiment must be a raw experiments or replicate (i.e. not a replicate set).

To apply the Create Ratios Against Baseline transformation to an existing ArrayStar project, open the Edit Data Transformations dialog by selecting Data > Edit Data Transformations from the main menu.

Note: You may also apply the Create Ratios Against Baseline transformation in the Set Up Preprocessing step of the Project Setup Wizard.

After the dialog opens, click the Add button to populate the dialog. From the Type drop-down menu, select Create ratios against baseline.

As ratios, a linear value of 1 means no change from the baseline, and a log value of 0 means no change from the baseline. The values may also be thought of as a fold change.

This transformation alters all of the values in your project and will be removed if the baseline experiment is removed from your project.
