Gene Ontology Statistics

The P-values and Z-scores in the Gene Ontology view are determined using the hypergeometric probability distribution.

Where N is the total number of genes in the project; n is the number of genes in the current gene selection; m is the total number of genes in the project for a given classification term; and k is the number of genes for the classification term in the current gene selection.
