ArrayStar features two distinct types of sets:
“Sets” are collections of items (e.g., genes, SNPs, IP-fragments, IP-peaks, exons or isoforms) that you can save, name, and annotate. All of the sets for a given project can be seen in the Set List. You can create a new set, create a quick gene set, or import a set that was previously exported from another ArrayStar project.
“Replicate Sets” are groups of experiments that will be averaged and treated as a single experiment within ArrayStar. You can create a replicate set for RNA-Seq, ChIP-Seq, and microarray experiments. All of the replicate sets for a given project can be viewed in the Experiment List.
