Right-Click Functionality in Table Cells

Right-click on an ArrayStar table cell to access context menu commands. Only a sub-set of these commands will be available for any given table and/or workflow:

 

Command

Description

Add to Selection in All Views

To add the currently selected genes to the existing global selection.

Advanced-Search for…

(Available only for projects with annotations) To launch the Advanced Filtering dialog with the specified annotation already specified as a search criterion.

Copy Selected Table Rows

To copy information from the selected rows into the clipboard. Shortcut to the menu command Edit > Copy Selected Table Rows.

Export Selected Table Rows

To launch an Export dialog for saving the selected rows. Save as type options always include tab-delimited (.txt) and comma-delimited (.csv) text. If you are exporting from the SNP Table, you may also choose to export table rows in variant call format (.vcf) file. Shortcut to the menu command File > Export Selected Table Rows.

Edit Gene ‘x’ Notes

Launches the Edit Gene Notes dialog, which allows you to type in and save information about the gene. If the Notes column is displayed in the table, the information will be visible there.

Quick-Search for…

(Available only for projects with annotations) To find other genes in your project with the same annotation.

Remove from Selection in All Views

To remove the currently selected genes from the existing global selection.

Show the Exons in this Gene

To open the Exon Table organized such that the exons in the gene appear checked at the top of the Exon Name column.

Show the Exons in this Isoform

To open the Exon Table organized such that the exons in the isoform appear checked at the top of the Exon Name column.

Show the Gene containing this Exon

To open the Gene Table organized such that the gene containing the exon appears checked at the top of the Name column.

Show the Genes near this IP Fragment

(Available only for miRNA and ChIP-Seq projects) To open the Fragment Table with the relevant genes checked at the top of the table.

Show the Genes near this IP Peak

(Available only for miRNA and ChIP-Seq projects) To open the Peak Table with the relevant genes checked at the top of the table.

Show the IP Fragment containing this IP Peak

(Available only for miRNA and ChIP-Seq projects) To open the Fragment Table with the relevant IP fragments checked at the top of the table.

Show the IP Peaks in this IP Fragment

(Available only for miRNA and ChIP-Seq projects) To open the Peak Table with the relevant IP peaks checked at the top of the table.

Show the Isoform containing this Exon

To open the Isoform Table organized such that the isoform(s) containing the exon appear checked at the top of the Isoform Name column.

Show the Isoforms in this Gene

To open the Isoform Table organized such that the isoform(s) in the gene appear checked at the top of the Isoform Name column.

Show the SNPs in this Gene

To open the SNP Table organized such that the SNP(s) in the gene appear checked at the top of the Gene Name column.

Send Selection to SeqMan Pro

Shortcut to the menu command File > Send Selection To > SeqMan Pro.

Send Selection to GenVision Pro

Shortcut to the menu command File > Send Selection To > GenVision Pro.
